Preservation through painting
            "Painting is a fine art and it speaks loudly without words" said artist U Saw Hlaing. He enjoys making his paintings speak for him and for     themselves. And as vice president of the Myanmar Traditonal Artists and Artistsans Association, art gallery owner, family man and gardener, U Saw     Hlaing has a lot to enjoy.
           The 108 paintings displayed at the solo exhibition reflected this, neat detailed drawings of subdued colored filled the Myanmar Artisans Centre     in Bogyoke market; traditional myanmar music filled the air.
           He believes the standard of a nation and its people can be judged by the standard of its' arts.
